Young people of all backgrounds will now have the opportunity to study abroard on the Erasmus+ programme.

The Erasmus+ programme will offer opportunities for young peole to study or train abroad.

Erasmus+ offers opportunities around education, training, youth, culture and sport for participants of all ages.

Data shows that studying abroad can boost the career prospects of students, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds. As many as 100,000 people in the UK could benefit from the scheme in the first year alone. 

The programme covers apprentices, further education students and adult learners, as well as those in higher education.

Government and institutions will work together to promote the programme to learners.
